Responsible party

Proply is the responsible party for the personal information collected on this website, as defined in the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA). You can contact Proply at imiel.visser@gmail.com or 4482054740.

This website runs on prop.forsale, which acts as Proply's operator: it stores and processes the information on Proply's behalf and may not use it for its own purposes. The platform's own policy is at https://stage.prop.forsale/privacy.

What is collected and why

• Enquiries and brochure requests: your name, email, optional phone number and message, so that an agent can answer you. You tick a box to consent before sending.
• Marketing: only if you tick the separate marketing box, so that the agency may send you related property news. You can withdraw at any time.
• Newsletter: your email and optional name, confirmed by a link we email you (double opt-in). Every newsletter has a one-click unsubscribe link.
• Consent evidence: the date, the wording you agreed to and a one-way hash of your IP address. The raw IP address is not stored.

Who it is shared with

Proply does not sell your information. It is available to Proply's own team and to the platform's operators (hosting, email delivery and security providers) only to provide the service. Those providers process information outside South Africa under contractual safeguards (POPIA section 72).

How long it is kept

Enquiries are kept for as long as needed to deal with your request and any resulting transaction, and no longer than [retention period to be confirmed (DEC-04)]. Newsletter records are kept until you unsubscribe, after which only a suppression record remains so you are not emailed again.

Your rights

Contact Proply at imiel.visser@gmail.com or 4482054740 to ask for a copy of your information, to correct or delete it, or to object to marketing.

• Ask whether we hold personal information about you and request a copy (POPIA section 23).
• Ask us to correct or delete information that is inaccurate, irrelevant, excessive, out of date, incomplete, misleading or unlawfully obtained (section 24).
• Object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to direct marketing at any time (section 11(3)).
• Withdraw consent you gave, without affecting processing that took place before you withdrew it.
• Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa): inforeg.org.za, complaints.IR@inforegulator.org.za.
